Synopsis

In the 90s in Beijing, a small inn became a meeting point for young migrants who were pursuing their dreams amidst the hardships of life. Xu Shengli continues to struggle as a screenwriter despite constant rejections, Zhuang Zhuang survives as a singer on a small stage, and Shen Ranran faces difficult choices in the glamorous world of entertainment.

Meanwhile, Tao Liangliang pursues his musical dreams under an overpass, Guo Zongbao works tirelessly for his family, and Cao Ye maintains his idealism as a painter even though it is not understood. As times change, they are tested by reality—some survive, some give up—but the artistic spirit within them remains alive.
