Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Synopsis
Tells the story of Desmond T. Doss, a United States army doctor who refused to carry a single weapon in war, because of the beliefs he adhered to. In the battle of Okinawa during the Second World War, Desmond managed to evacuate 75 soldiers, alone, and without firing a single bullet. Doss was the only soldier who never took up arms during the second world war. In addition, he became the first person to assert his right not to strictly follow military orders in United States history, being awarded the American soldier's highest award, the Medal of Honor.
