Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo (2021)

Synopsis

The story begins in 2019, right before Japan's new era changes. Another dimensional crack suddenly opens in the sky and reveals an alternate world called "Shinkoku Nippon". Another version of Japan that maintains military political policies in the Showa era. Shinkoku Nippon attacks present-day Japan with the gas weapon "Genmu" (modern weapons do not work) and the giant humanoid weapon "Garann". As a result, Japan never failed to move towards a new era of Reiwa. A decade later, Japan was renamed Genkoku Nippon, the puppet state of Shinkoku Nippon. Restrictions through strict censorship regulations, manga, anime, idol and other pop culture that once thrived are now completely dead... or so it seems.
